our story

oh happy days

oh happy days
can you see it?

today is your day
and there’s more waiting for you
to be explored
to be lived

unknown, but beautiful days
waiting for you
to be adventured
to be dreamed
the smell of fresh cut grass
the hot rays of the sun burning your skin
the ticklish sand between your toes

the smile on your face
all the way up to your ears
your soul is floating in the wind

can you see it?
it’s waiting for you

start up

building a new company

is like pushing a boulder up a mountain
you start at the bottom, all by yourself
just you and this big boulder
bystanders will point and laugh and call you crazy
but if you believe in what you’re doing with all your heart
you ignore them and start pushing it up the steep slope anyway
along the path, people will see you struggle

and some might join you
and when the right people do, it gets a little easier
more hands making lighter work

occasionally some helpers do more pulling than pushing
and you have to stop and tell them they can’t help anymore
which breaks your heart every time
because they only meant well

but the pain lessens each time
becoming slightly more bearable
but it never truly disappears

nearly all who choose to push the boulder
won’t make it up to the top
their strength will give way before they do
they stumble and collapse
and that boulder starts to roll backwards
crushing them in its path
leaving them broken and shattered
sometimes dead
you are like sisyphus
but the punishment is of your own choosing
rather than from hades

but there are a special few
who through luck and hard work
and ingenuity and sacrifice
who by some divine grace
make it all the way to top of the mountain
with their helpers standing shoulder to shoulder
they couldn’t have done it without them

and as soon as it reaches the top
the boulder tips to the other side
and the weight vanishes

and it begins to roll down hill
gathering speed
snowballing larger and larger
a flywheel spinning
faster and faster

it’s momentum becomes unstoppable
until all the world has been taken over
by your new idea of how things should be done

a glorious victory
that once began
as a boulder
at the bottom of a hill

I was proud
proud holding your hand
walking you through the crowd
showing everyone, you are mine

there was something
new and exciting
pulsing my veins
pumping my blood

driven by ~your world

you took me on this boat
skin on skin under the stars
freezing, but you kept me warm
the night was ours
but every dawn
the moment you wake up
dreams end, and so did ours

now I'm here, by myself
frightened, but stronger than before
looking for the one

the one to take my hand
the one to be proud of being by my side
the one to share my dreams with

driven by ~my world

emerson said
that all life is an experiment
and the more experiments you make, the better

i have found this to be true
life can be so rich
when you seek to taste
what you have never tasted
when you seek to listen outside genres
which you have listened
when you seek to meet
people who don’t look, act or think like you

you might taste flavours that make you wretch
or hear music that makes your ears bleed
or meet people who make your skin crawl
but all of these failed experiments
are repaid a hundredfold
when you strike platinum
and discover new love

all these failures are made up for each time
you taste something that sets off
exploding colours in your mouth
or which can take you back to your childhood
or when new music makes you understand feelings
you couldn’t previously put words to
or when you meet someone who takes your breath away
and makes you fall heels over head for them

this is the true joie de vivre
so experiment away

and we'll let you know when we're back online.
